Beck David Hansen (b. Bek David Campbell; July 8,1970) is an American musician, singer, songwriter, and record producer.

Role in Gorillaz

Beck provided vocals for the track The Valley of the Pagans from Gorillaz' seventh studio album Song Machine, Season One: Strange Timez and appeared in its music video. He appeared in hologram form on Song Machine Live, and the footage was later reused for the alternate music video for The Valley of the Pagans. He also featured on Possession Island, from the album Cracker Island, and performed alongside the group on Jimmy Kimmel LiveW.

Musical Career

Beck rose to fame in the early 1990s with his experimental and lo-fi style and became known for creating musical collages of wide-ranging genres. He has musically encompassed folk, funk, soul, hip hop, electronic, alternative rock, country, and psychedelia.
