Shelley Marshaun Massenburg-Smith (b. August 3, 1988), better known as Shelley FKA DRAM and formerly DRAM, is an American rapper and singer from Hampton, Virginia.
Role in Gorillaz
DRAM was featured on Gorillaz' 2017 studio album Humanz on the album's third single Andromeda. An alternative cut of Andromeda, Andromeda (D.R.A.M. Special), featuring more prominent vocals from DRAM was later released as a part of the Humanz Super Deluxe Box Set. DRAM also contributes additional backup vocals alongside Noel Gallagher and Graham Coxon on the Humanz track We Got The Power featuring Jehnny Beth. He later joined Gorillaz on Humanz Tour and was a part of the line up for Gorillaz' Demon Dayz Festival in 2017 and Demon Dayz Festival LA in 2018.
Musical Career
Shelley is best known for his 2016 single Broccoli featuring Lil Yachty. He is also a voice actor and has sung for a Holiday commercial for Sprite. He currently has two studio albums, Big Baby DRAM and Shelley FKA DRAM, released on Atlantic Records by Empire Distribution.
